How to Get the Most Out of this Community
Community members are here to heal. Here’s the best way for each of us to get there:
Be supportive. Encourage and support your fellow community members. No one here is looking for your criticism, cynicism, advice, or judgement. (We can get those things on the rest of the Internet).
Share generously. Your stories and experiences may be exactly what another member needs to hear today to solve a problem or seize an opportunity.
Be constructive. We’re here to push each other forward and lift each other up. Find ways to help each other think bigger, reframe challenges, and stay curious.
Don’t spam, promote, or troll. This community exists to help you learn and heal. It’s not a place to spam, promote, or bully anyone else.
You're a Part of Something Bigger
By joining this Community, you’re also a member of Wellness Waypoint, our overarching community. You’ll be able to keep up with this Community's activity here, but also in your main Wellness Waypoint Activity Feed (think about it as our own Facebook newsfeed with Course and other activity all in one place).
Let’s get started.
This course offers grieving parents practical tools and guidance for navigating the emotional journey following the loss of a child. Through a combination of self-care practices, coping strategies, and insights into the nature of grief, the course helps parents build emotional resilience and find ways to move forward while honoring their child's memory. It also explores the importance of seeking professional support, including individual therapy and group counseling, and provides resources for connecting with supportive communities. This course emphasizes that healing is a personal, ongoing process and equips parents with the resources they need to cope, heal, and find meaning in life after loss. As you work through the lessons, you can also connect to the Holding Space Community to post comments, participate in chats, or message other members who are working through the same things. There is healing in community.

Lesson 1: The Emotional Journey of Grief
Losing a child—whether an infant, young child, or adult—is one of the most profound and heartbreaking experiences a person can face. Grief in this situation is often lifelong, evolving over time but never fully disappearing. While everyone’s journey is unique, there are common emotional experiences that many bereaved parents share.
